IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Our founders, Samantha Camy and Lydia Anglin, created Black Ivy with the help of their peers during the spring of 2016 at Cornell University.

TESTMASTERS PARTNERSHIP

In order to help introduce our members to the LSAT, Black Ivy has a partnership with Testmasters, a company that hosts LSAT workshops for our members as well as full LSAT exams. All Black Ivy Members are offered a $500 discount on the live LSAT course and a $100 discount on the online LSAT course.

Reclaiming Our Time

An unparalleled opportunity to bring pre-law students across the east coast to discuss topics relating to race and justice in the legal field as well as expand our reach on other campuses. The summit was a one-day conference sponsored by Proskauer Rose LLP with speakers from Cornell Law School, Miller & Chevalier LLP, and more. Breakfast and Lunch catered by the ILR Conference Center.

5-Day New York City Trip

In line with our principles, Black Ivy provides interpersonal, mentorship, and experiential resources to ensure that our members are receiving world-class preparation for law school applications, the rigor of law school curricula, and an ultimate legal career. The Black Ivy Pre-Law Society hosted the Advantage Tour in New York City this past February, allowing students to explore the center of the commerce in the US. During this trip, we toured Fordham Law, Columbia Law, and NYU Law. In addition, networked with competitive firms such as Latham & Watkins LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Proskauer Rose LLP, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
